Stephen R. Ramee, MD, MS, FACC, MSCAI

Dr. Ramee has been Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Interventional Vascular Medicine. He has authored hundreds of manuscripts and scientific papers in the field of interventional cardiology. His major research interests have centered on research and development of interventional cardiology devices and techniques. He has participated in over 200 clinical trials and hundreds of live demonstration angioplasty courses.
He is a former Chair of the Benson Heart Valve Center, Board of Trust Member for the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Intervention (SCAI) and Master (MSCAI). He is the past-Chair of the Interventional Council of the American College of Cardiology (ACC). Dr. Ramee’s goal in joining LCMC and LSU Health Science Center in New Orleans is to develop a system-wide Structural Heart and Heart Valve Center for all patients in the Gulf South.
