Tsuyoshi Kaneko, MD

Dr. Kaneko is the Chief of Cardiac Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis and is the John M Shoenberg Professor of Surgery. He completed a cardiothoracic surgery and interventional fellowship at BWH and is cross-trained in interventional cardiology.
He is the current Chair of the research and publication committee for the ACC/STS TVT registry R&P committee, taskforce chair of STS Adult Cardiac Surgery Database Research and Publication and Chair of the Workforce in Innovation and New Technology for the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
Dr. Kaneko’s research focuses on clinical outcomes research using a large database of transcatheter valve therapies. He has been the Principal Investigator or Co-PI on over 15 funded grants and is a reviewer for over 15 journals. He has published over 200 manuscripts and has written over 10 book chapters.
