Dr. Mohammad Sarraf is an Interventional Cardiologist at Mayo Clinic. His main area of interest is focused on structural heart disease and CHIP. He has prerformed a series of studies in the area of structural heart disease with a focus on the mitral and tricuspid valve disease. His basic science interest also focuses on the bioenergetics of the heart. Recently, his research has focused on the bioenergetics of the RV and LV and the changes after transcatehter heart valve procecdures. These studies are perfomed through a combination of comprehensive hemodynamics, flow-dynamics and advanced vortex flow mapping. He also has interest in performing PV loop analysis in patients with valvular heart disease before and after surgical and transcatheter valve interventions.
