Marc Cohen, MD is the Chair of the Department of Medicine at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey, Formerly, he was Chief of Cardiology, and Director of Cardiology Fellowship Training at NBI. Dr. Cohen is Professor of Medicine at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School. He received his MD with honors from the NYU School of Medicine, and completed his residency, and fellowship in cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center, in NYC. He is a diplomate of the ABIM, CV Diseases, and Interventional Cardiology.
He is a fellow of the ACC, ACP, and SCAI, and is a member of the Cardiovascular Health Advisory Panel to the Commissioner of Health of the State of New Jersey. He was the PI of the international, ESSENCE trial, ACUTE I, ACUTE II, TETAMI, SEPIA-PCI. Dr. Cohen has authored more than 240 peer-reviewed, original papers. He has been a member of the editorial boards of JACC, AHJ, AJC and CRM.
