Dr. Thomas is Health Sciences Professor in the David Geffen UCLA School of Medicine and Kouichi R. Tanaka Endowed Chair of the Department of Medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Thomas is a graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and completed his training at Northwestern and Harbor-UCLA. He currently practices as an Interventional Cardiologist, Director of Interventional Cardiology and Director of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program at Harbor. His clinical interests include acute care cardiology and percutaneous coronary interventions. Dr. Thomas has served as principle investigator in clinical trials of novel medical devices, intracoronary imaging and CAD diagnostics. He has ongoing research in areas of cardiac arrest and acute MI systems of care and interventional clinical trials.
