Luis Ortega Paz, M.D., Ph.D., is an academic cardiologist at the UF Health Cardiovascular Center, University of Florida College of Medicine–Jacksonville. He trained in cardiovascular diseases at the Cardiovascular Institute of the Hospital ClĂnic of Barcelona, University of Barcelona. His research focuses on clinical trials, antiplatelet therapy, platelet biology, intracoronary devices, and acute coronary syndromes. He has published over 115 peer-reviewed articles and authored five book chapters. Dr. Ortega Paz has been an investigator in multiple trials, a clinical event committee member, and a speaker at international congresses. He is a Fellow of the ESC and a section editor for EuroIntervention.
