Maria Delgado-Lelievre, MD, is a Hypertension Specialist at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. She leads the AHA-certified Comprehensive Hypertension Center, Florida’s first accredited by the AHA and South Florida’s only recipient of the 2023 Gold Plus Award for blood pressure control. Certified by the AHA, she trained at the University of Michigan and the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial. Originally from Venezuela, she specializes in hypertension’s cardiovascular and cardiometabolic impact. Passionate about technology and innovation, she integrates cutting-edge approaches into patient care. She also contributes to national hypertension initiatives, including the AHA and the National Hypertension Control Roundtable.
