Anastasios Apostolos, MD, MSc, is a PhD Student and Research Fellow at the First Department of Cardiology, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Hippokration General Hospital. He earned his MD from the University of Patras and an MSc in Interventional Cardiology with Honors. His research focuses on vascular access, antithrombotic treatment, transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), and PFO closure. He has authored over 80 PubMed-indexed publications in renowned journals, including BMJ, European Heart Journal, JACC, and Circulation. Actively engaged in the global cardiology community, he participates in major conferences such as ESC Congress, ACC Congress, AHA Scientific Sessions, TCT, EuroPCR, and PCR London Valves. He has also contributed to multiple clinical trials as both a primary and sub-investigator, further advancing interventional cardiology research and practice.
