Dr. Lowenstern, MD, MHS is an assistant professor of medicine at Vanderbilt University, specializing in the care of patients with coronary and structural heart disease. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency, Cardiovascular Fellowship and Interventional Cardiology training at Duke University, including a year specifically devoted to the percutaneous treatment of structural heart disease. She also completed two years of dedicated clinical research training at the Duke Clinical Research Institute, serving as Chief Fellow during her second year. At Vanderbilt, she is active in both coronary and structural interventions. Dr. Lowenstern is also the associate program director for the Cardiovascular Disease training program. Her research interests include the prevention and treatment of coronary artery disease and the percutaneous management, outcomes of patients with structural heart disease.
