Kris Kumar is a Clinical Associate at the Knight Cardiovascular Institute at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. Prior to starting clinical practice, he completed his general cardiology training at OHSU followed by further subspecialty training fellowships in interventional cardiology, structural heart disease, peripheral and ACHD interventions at the University of California, San Diego. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona where he stayed for an additional year as a junior faculty member in the Department of Medicine and Chief Resident. He completed his medical school at Midwestern University. He obtained his B.S. in Human Biology and M.S. in Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics from the University of California, San Diego. His clinical interests include coronary interventions, shock and structural heart interventions.
