Dr. Patrick Bering is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine and the medical director of the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy program at the MedStar Washington Hospital Center. He is a cardiologist with additional clinical focus in cardiac imaging, especially echocardiography and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. He has been the principal site invesigator in multicenter clinical trials for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy such as SEQUOIA HCM, FOREST HCM, ACACIA HCM, and DISCOVER HCM. He is a sub-investigator with the NIH Technical Development of Cardiovascular MRI study.
