Dr. O'Leary is a structural interventional cardiologist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), Program Director for the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship, and Medical Director for Quality at the Vanderbilt Heart and Vascular Institute (VHVI). Dr. O'Leary completed Internal Medicine and Pediatrics training at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Boston Children's Hospital, followed by cardiology and interventional fellowships at VUMC. His research interests include structural heart disease, cardiogenic shock, pulmonary hypertension and congenital heart disease. Dr. O'Leary oversees quality improvement at VHVI as well as participation in cardiology registries. The recipient of numerous teaching awards, Dr. O'Leary has been dedicated to medical education throughout his career and particularly enjoys mentoring fellows. He also serves on the SCAI Structural Heart Disease Council.
