Dr. Mario Gaudino is the Stephen and Suzanne Weiss Professor in Cardiothoracic Surgery (II) at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine. In addition, he serves as the Assistant Dean for Clinical Trials, Director for the JCTO, and the Director of Translational and Clinical Research for the Department of CT Surgery.
Throughout his career, he has published more than 700 peer-reviewed manuscripts in high impact journals as well as numerous book chapters. He is currently the lead investigator of several international, randomized trials: ROMA, ROMA:Women, RECHARGE, STICH3C, ODIN, PRINCE, and EPIC.
Along with his expert training and knowledge in CABG including the use of multiple arterial grafting (radial artery conduits, the use of bilateral internal mammary arteries), he also specializes in structural heart disease, valvular dysfunction and complex aortic procedures.
