John C. Messenger, MD, FACC, MSCAI is Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine where he has been since 1999. He is the Director of Interventional Cardiology and the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories at the University of Colorado Hospital. He serves as the Clinical Director of the Heart and Vascular Center for UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital. Research interests include structural heart disease, advanced imaging in the cath lab as well as health services research in interventional cardiology. Clinical areas of focus include coronary and structural heart disease interventions including MCS, Transcatheter Heart Valve therapies and alcohol septal ablation for HOCM. He currently serves as the Chair of the ACC/STS TVT Stakeholders Advisory Committee of the American and is the Co-Chair of the SCAI Scientific Oversight Committee.
