Expert in coronary, valvular, structural and congenital heart disease interventional cardiology, he carries out research and teaching activities in innovative techniques of valvular and structural interventional cardiology. Graduated in Medicine at University of Bologna, he started his career in interventional cardiolgy at Gaslini Children Hospital in Genoa, then pionereed in the field of transcatheter valve intervention at University of Catania and University of Tor Vergata. Since December 2018 is professor of Cardiology and director of the school of Cardiology at the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome.
