Dr. Goyal is a heart failure cardiologist, health services researcher, and implementation scientist with a faculty appointment as an Associate Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine. He currently leads the Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF) and Cardiac Amyloidosis Programs at Weill Cornell Medicine/New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Goyal is also very active in research. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed manuscripts, leading studies published in high-impact journals including the New England Journal of Medicine. He has also received extensive extramural funding which includes multiple grants as PI from the NIH (R03, K76, R21, R01x2), and has served as Site PI for over a dozen clinical trials focused on HFpEF and Cardiac Amyloidosis. Between his clinical and research focus, Dr. Goyal’s career objective is to improve outcomes for older adults with heart failure.
