Dr. Ehtisham Mahmud is Division Chief of Cardiovascular Medicine, Director of the Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center and Interventional Cardiology at UC San Diego. He has extensive experience in complex coronary, peripheral and structural interventions and directs the interventional medicine clinical trials center at UC San Diego. Dr. Mahmud completed fellowships in coronary and endovascular interventions at Emory University in Atlanta and cardiovascular medicine at UC San Diego. He is the previous Associate Editor of JACC, serves on the Executive Committee of SCAI, and is the Chair of the SCAI Education Committee. He is selected as among the top 1 percent of interventional cardiologists in the nation by US News and World Report.
