Craig A. Thompson, MD, MMSc. is Director of Interventional Cardiology and Cardiac Catheterization for the Hartford Healthcare Heart and Vascular Institute. He previously was Director of Interventional Cardiology for NYU Langone Health and Professor of Medicine, with similar positions at Yale and Darmouth. He has previously been Senior Vice President and Global Chief Medical Officer, Cardiology for Boston Scientific. Dr Thompson is a global leader in the treatment of complex coronary disease, CTO, and device innovations in cardiovascular and structural intervention.
He trained in Interventional Cardiology/Vascular Medicine and Clinical Cardiology at Harvard Medical School (MGH-Brigham), Internal Medicine and Medical School at the University of Mississippi, and MMSc. In clinical investigation/biostatistics from the MIT/Harvard Medical School.
