Dr. Ellenbogen is the Kimmerling Professor of Cardiology at VCU's Pauley Heart Center's and Director of Electrophysiology and Pacing on the MCV Campus. His main research interests are in novel ablation techniques and clinical trials of left atrial appendage occlusion devices. He is a Guest Editor for Circulation and on the Editorial Board of JACC-Clinical Electrophysiology, American Heart Journal, and Heart Rhythm. He has participated in numerous clinical trials and served as Chair of the DSMB for national and international clinical trials.He is the author of other 10 textbooks and more than 390 peer reviewed articles and more than 200 reviews and editorials. He is presently President of the Heart Rhythm Society.
