Dr. James P. Zidar received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, his MD from Loyola University Strich School of Medicine, completed internal medicine training at the University of Michigan, and his general Cardiology and intervnetional Cardioolgy fellowship at Duke University. He is the immediate past Governor of the North Carolina Chapter of the ACC. He is the Physician -In-Chief of the UNC Heart & Vascular Network, Corporate Chief of Cardiology for Rex Healthcare, and a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He has extensive expertise in structural heart disease including TAVR, complex coronary interventions, innovative endovascular technologies, carotid revascularization, peripheral arterial disease, renal artery denervation and management of critical limb ischemia.
