Dr. Michael Ragosta is Professor of Medicine and Director, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories at the University of Virginia Health System. He is an Interventional Cardiologist with over 30 years experience. Clinical interests include hemodynamics, coronary physiology, complex and high risk coronary interventions, chronic total occlusion intervention, and structural heart interventions with special interest in transcatheter aortic valve procedures. He has been involved in numerous research projects and clinical trials in these same arenas and has authored several textbooks in the areas of hemodynamics and interventional cardiology. In addition, he is the author or coauthor of numerous original research articles, review articles and editorials in the field of interventional cardiology.
