Dr. Rajan Patel is the interventional cardiology fellowship program director and the medical director of the CTO PCI program at Ochsner Medical Center. His primary clinical interests include 1) the percutaneous treatment of complex coronary artery disease including CTO's and 2) peripheral vascular disease in addition to 3) supporting the Ochsner heart failure/ transplant team with percutaneous mechanical circulatory support. His pre-clinical research interests include myocardial reperfusion injury and advanced cardiac imaging. His clinical research interests include improving outcomes in the treatment of cardiogenic shock and innovation in temporary mechanical circulatory supportas well disparity in care research.
