Dr. Perwaiz M. Meraj is an Associate Professor in the Department of Cardiology at Hofstra – Northwell Health School of Medicine. He is an interventional cardiologist with a passion for high risk and complex coronary interventions, radial artery catheterizations, has pioneered and led an advanced hemodynamic support team and systemwide Shock Intitative. He started the CHIP/CTO program and fellowship at Nothwell. He has published and presented over 400 abstracts and manuscripts. He sits on the ACC Executive Council for Interventional Cardiology along with a fellowship in the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions and was selected as one of 12 interventional cardiologists for the SCAI/ACC/CRF Emerging Leaders and Mentors (ELM) Fellows for 2019.
