Dr. James Stephen Jenkins, MD, FACC, FSCAI, FSVM is the Section Head of IC, Structural Heart and the Director of IC Research at the John Ochsner Heart and Vascular Institute at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana and an associate professor of medicine for the University of Queensland Ochsner Medical School. He is board certified by the ABIM in Card Dz (2028), Interv Card (2030) and by the ABVM in Endo Interv (2027). He collaborates with both LSU and Tulane on research projects supported by both institutional and government grants. He specializes in IC performing coronary, peripheral and structural intervention including mitral, tricuspid, aortic, septal, left atrial appendage, carotid and venous intervention. Dr. Jenkins is also fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the Society for Vascular Medicine, and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
