Leonardo Clavijo, MD, PhD, is the Adventist Heart and Vascular Institute Director in St. Helena, Napa CA. He has extensive experience in performing complex cardiac, coronary, and structural interventions and non-surgical endovascular techniques for treating peripheral arterial disease and critical limb ischemia. He completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, and vascular medicine & peripheral interventions at Georgetown University Hospital/Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC. Dr. Clavijo was for 15 years director of the interventional cardiology fellowship program at the University of Southern California and recently moved to the Central Coast in California. He has authored more than 90 publications in peer-reviewed journals. His interests include percutaneous cardiac and peripheral interventions and antiplatelet therapy.
