Dr. Anderson is Professor Emeritus in the Cardiology Division at the University of Texas Health Science Center, McGovern Medical School, in Houston. He is a medical director in the Larry D. Johnson Heart & Vascular Institute of Memorial Hermann Hospital. His interests include acute coronary syndromes and ischemic heart disease, coronary physiology, and clinical outcomes research in all forms of cardiovascular interventions. He received his medical degree from Emory University, where he also undertook his cardiology and interventional fellowships. He has more than 25 years of experience as an editor with the major cardiovascular scientific journals Circulation and JACC–Cardiovascular Interventions. Dr. Anderson helped found the ACC-NCDR and is a past member of its Management Board, overseeing some of the largest cardiovascular databases in the world.
