Dr. Paul Mahoney is the Section Chief for Interventional Cardiology and Director of the Structural Heart Program at ECU Health and School of Medicine, a 9 Hospital System in North Carolina. He has extensive clinical experience in transcatheter aortic, mitral, pulmoniccand mitral valve replacement, mitral edge to edge repair, and left atrial appendage closure. Dr. Mahoney has served on national steering and screening committees, as local PI in many clinical research trials including PARTNER, SURTAVI, TRILLUMINATE, TRISCEND, REPAIR MR, SMART TRIAL, OPTIMIZE PRO, EXCEL, PORTICO, APOLLO, EARLY TAVR, EXCEED, EXPAND, SYNTAX, M3 and dozens of others. He has proctored multiple novel transcatheter platforms and techniques across the US and abroad.
