Howard C. Herrmann, MD, is the John Bryfogle Professor of Medicine and Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania, Section Chief and Health System Director for Interventional Cardiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated from Harvard College, Harvard Medical School, and completed his training at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr.Herrmann has authored or coauthored more than 500 articles with a current research focus on valvular and structural heart disease. He serves on multiple editorial boards and is Deputy Editor of NEJM Journal Watch Cardiology. He is a past Governor of the PA Chapter of the ACC and received the Master Designation of SCAI. He has been listed in Philadelphia Magazine’s Top Docs, Best Doctors in America, and the Guide to America’s Top Doctors for more than 25 years.
