Ezequiel J Molina, MD is the the surgical director of the Mechanical Circulatory Support and Heart Transplantation Program at the Piedmont Heart Institute in Atlanta, GA. He completed his training in cardiothoracic surgery at Columbia University. Dr. Molina specializes in surgery for advanced heart failure including acute cardiogenic shock. He leads one of the busiest LVAD and heart transplantation programs in the country. Dr. Molina serves a member of the STS-Intermacs Database Task Force and Participant User File Research Program for the STS-Intermacs Registry. He is also a member of the International Registry for Mechanically Assisted Circulatory Support (IMACS) Steering Committee. Dr. Molina is an active member of the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation. He has been PI or Sub PI in several LVAD trials.
