Hector M. Garcia-Garcia, MD, PhD, is professor of medicine at Georgetown University and is now serving as an attending cardiologist for MedStar Heart & Vascular Institute. Prior to joining the MHVI, Dr. Garcia-Garcia served as director of the core lab of Invasive Imaging at Cardialysis—a leading cardiology clinical research organization—and as researcher at the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He received a master and doctorate degree from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. He is also a scientific lead on invasive coronary imaging and has published more than 700 pubmed publications.
