Director
Sinai Center for Thrombosis Research and Drug Development
Baltimore, Maryland, United States
I am the Director of cardiovascular research and the Sinai center for thrombosis research and drug development at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. My research focused on defining the effects of antiplatelet agents, antiplatelet agents and new device development and understanding the relation of platelet reactivity to ischemic events in patients undergoing stenting. Our research provided a solid rationale for the need for new antiplatelet agents and their implementation into clinical practice. Our research results have been incorporated into the national and international practice guidelines. I am board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. I serve on the editorial boards for various medical journals. My concepts and research have been published in over 460 manuscripts, monographs, books, and book chapters.
