Jennifer Jones-McMeans, PhD, is Divisional Vice President of Global Clinical Affairs for Abbott Vascular based in Santa Clara, California. Since joining Abbott as a clinical research scientist more than 17 years ago, Dr. Jones-McMeans has worked on gaining approval of numerous vascular devices, in the USA and worldwide. Through her work, Dr. Jones-McMeans has become one of the leading experts in clinical trial design strategy. Following the completion of her post-doctoral fellowship, she chose to take her experience and knowledge to Abbott's Vascular Business. Dr. Jones-McMeans is taking a proactive approach to the design and implementation of clinical trials. In the spirit of continuous improvement, her goal is to make clinical trials more equitable, accessible and inclusive of diverse patient populations so participants in clinical trials more accurately reflect those burdened with disease.
