Valeria Paradies is an interventional cardiologist, head of research and cathlab co-director at Maasstad Hospital (Rotterdam, the Netherlands). She completed IC fellowship in Rotterdam, clinical research fellowship at NHCS (Singapore) where she also acquired expertise in CMR and a Master of Clinical Science in structural heart intervention at University of Padua. Currently PhD candidate at Erasmus Medical Centre University (Rotterdam).
She is the PI of Compare STEMI One RCT (1656 STEMI patients), local PI of more 10 RCTs and author of 100 papers published in peer-reviewed journals. She is involved in the EuroPCR course, European Bifurcation Club and ESC currently under the role of Chair of EAPCI Congress Committee and member of ESC Congress Committee.
Main research interests: antithrombotic therapy, bifurcations techniques, microvascular dysfunction, CHIP procedures, intravascular imaging and MCS.
