Dr. Thomas modine is appointed as professor of cardiovascular surgery at Bordeaux university Hospital and professor at Jiao Tong university in shanghai, China. He is the director of Valve disease structural therapies and innovation in Bordeaux.
He has an MD, PhD and MBA degrees. He is a renowned surgeon in TAVR, TMVR, minimally invasive surgery and valve sparing techniques. He his also leading basic science research programs and is developing a percutaneous mitral program with IP. He dedicated his training to the development and progress of percutaneous techniques and heart team approach. His research interests are in aortic valve complex, bioengineering, beating heart surgery, hybrid approaches, TAVR, TTVR and TMVR.
