Dr. Ziyad Ghazzal is the Founding Director of the Heart and Vascular Institute and the Director of the Moufid Farra Heart, Vascular and Kidney Outpatient Center at the of the American University of Beirut Medical Center. He was the Deputy to the Executive Vice President/Dean and the Interim Medical Center Director and Chief Medical Officer. He is Adjunct Professor at Emory University where he completed his fellowship training and was a full-time faculty member until 2008. He is an editorial consultant for JACC Cardiovascular Interventions and the American Journal of Cardiology. He was an associate editor of ACC-Cardiosource. He was the co-chair of the international distant learning program of the American College of Cardiology.
