Prof. Hans R. Figulla MD is a retired professor at the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena, Germany, and Director of the University Hospital Department for Internal Medicine I (Cardiology, Angiology, Intensive Care and Pneumology) from 1997 until 2015. He has published more than 500 papers in the field of dilated cardiomyopathy, cardiogenic shock and structural heart disease. He has invented multiple devices in interventional cardiology and is the cofounder of JenaValve Technology Inc., Occlutech GmbH and Cofounder of devie medical GmbH, holder of a license for Tricvalve ( P&F, Vienna) and cofounder and CMO of devie medical.
