Dr. Shigeru Saito is one of the leading evangelists for transradial coronary intervention (TRI) in the world and serves as President of NPO International TRI Network. He is one of the pioneering physicians who started to use primary stenting in patients with acute myocardial infarction. He used to serve on the editorial boards of Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions. He is widely published in the fields of acute myocardial infarction, cardiomyopathy, coronary angioplasty and transradial approach. Dr. Saito continues to devote himself to patient care and comfort through the development of Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) and complex coronary angioplasty via transradial or distal approaches. Dr. Saito also engages in intervention for structural heart disease. He works hard as TAVI Proctors for major 3 companies.
